It should be noted that contrary to the standard SREP procedure applied to cross-border banking groups and their entities (which pursuant to the SREP Guidelines requires discussion and coordination of the outcomes of the SREP assessment within the framework of colleges of supervisors prior to their finalisation), the competent authority upon considering assigning a score of ‘F’ to an institution, in line with Article 81 of Directive 2014/59/EU, should engage with the resolution authority following the procedure laid down in Article 32 of Directive 2014/59/EU without prior discussion or coordination within the supervisory college.
