When assessing whether subjects of assessment have implemented group-wide policies and procedures in their branches and subsidiaries effectively, competent authorities, which are the lead supervisor, should refer to the risk assessment in respect of these subjects of assessment described in paragraphs 57 and 58 of these guidelines and, in particular, the assessment of geographical risks to which branches and subsidiaries of subjects of assessment are exposed.
