Article 4 1.
Member States shall ensure that diesel fuel may be placed on the market in their territory only if it complies with the specifications set out in Annex II. Member States shall require suppliers to ensure the placing on the market of diesel with a fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) content of up to 7 %. Member States shall ensure the provision of appropriate information to consumers concerning the biofuel, in particular FAME, content of diesel fuel.
