It SHOULD be ensured that suitable climatic conditions are established and maintained in a data centre. A data centre's air-conditioning system SHOULD have sufficient capacity. All the relevant values SHOULD be constantly monitored. If a value deviates from the norm, an automatic alarm SHOULD be triggered. Air-conditioning systems SHOULD be as fail-safe as possible in areas of IT operations.
