These Guidelines aim to ensure convergence of supervisory practices for the assessment of institutions’ internal capital adequacy assessment process (ICAAP) and internal liquidity adequacy assessment process (ILAAP) under the supervisory review and evaluation process (SREP) in accordance with the EBA Guidelines on common procedures and methodologies for SREP (SREP Guidelines)⁵ . In particular, these Guidelines specify what information, regarding ICAAP and ILAAP, competent authorities should collect from institutions in order to perform their assessments following the criteria specified in the SREP Guidelines.
