Competent authorities should identify and understand the risk factors that will affect each sector’s and subject of assessment’s exposure to the ML/TF risks. For this purpose, competent authorities should use different sources of information provided in Guideline 4.2.2 and also actively engage with the sector and with other competent authorities where relevant, as set out in Guidelines 4.1.4. and 4.4.9.
