Article 20 4.
Member States shall require that buildings or buildings units which are offered for sale or for rent have an energy performance certificate, and that the energy performance indicator and class of the energy performance certificate of the building or the building unit, as applicable, is stated in online and offline advertisements, including in property search portal websites. Member States shall carry out sample checks or other controls to ensure compliance with these requirements.
