The supervisory manual should be reviewed regularly and updated when necessary, in particular, if there have been significant changes that may have an impact on the supervisory approach, including changes introduced by the legal framework or international guidance, or changes required as a result of the feedback received by competent authorities on the adequacy of its supervisory approach, including from an internal audit function or external bodies like the Financial Action Task Force, the Council of Europe or the European Supervisory Authorities. As a result of this review, competent authorities should take stock of lessons learnt and address any shortcomings identified, if any. Relevant supervisors should be made aware of any changes to the manual without delay.
