Competent authorities should decide on the most appropriate way to categorise the risk profiles of subjects of assessment, sectors and subsectors. To achieve convergence and facilitate cooperation and information exchange between different competent authorities, competent authorities should consider classifying subjects of assessment, sectors and subsectors as ‘very significant’, ‘significant’, ‘moderately significant’ and ‘less significant’ in line with the EBA’s ML/TF risk assessment processes.
