Article 26b 1.
An originator shall be an entity that is authorised or licenced in the Union. An originator that purchases a third party’s exposures on its own account and then securitises them shall apply policies with regard to credit, collection, debt workout and servicing applied to those exposures that are no less stringent than those that the originator applies to comparable exposures that have not been purchased.
