Institutions should calculate the gender pay gap for all staff (including identified staff, identified on an individual basis) and separately for their identified staff. Institutions should, in accordance with national law and the GDPR, make every reasonable effort to determine the gender of its staff. Institutions may omit staff members whose gender cannot be ascertained.
