9.3 Determining the need for specific liquidity requirements

When competent authorities determine specific liquidity requirement in accordance with Article 42 of Directive (EU) 2019/2034, they should decide on the application of quantitative requirements, as covered under this title, or on the application of qualitative requirements, as covered under Title 10 of these guidelines.

To determine the quantitative requirement, competent authorities should require an amount of liquid assets in accordance with the delegated regulation adopted in accordance with Article 42(6) of Directive (EU) 2019/2034 that mitigates the identified shortcomings.
