Article 260 6.
The limited period referred to in paragraph 5 shall end on 31 December 2020 or on the date on which, in accordance with paragraph 3, the prudential regime of that third country has been deemed to be equivalent to that laid down in this Title, whichever is the earlier. That period may be extended by a maximum of one more year, where such time is necessary for EIOPA and the Commission to carry out the assessment of equivalence for the purposes of paragraph 3.
