Article 9 1.
Member States shall allow eligible cover assets that were originated by a credit institution and have been purchased by a credit institution issuing covered bonds to be used as cover assets for the issue of covered bonds. Member States shall regulate such purchases in order to ensure that the requirements set out in Articles 6 and 12 are met.
