Notwithstanding Articles 18(2) and 22(3), Member States shall grant EU type-approval for, and authorise the placing on the market of, engines that meet the gaseous and particulate pollutant emission limit values for special purpose engines set out in Annex VI, on the condition that the engines are intended for installation in non-road mobile machinery to be used in potentially explosive atmospheres, as defined in point (5) of Article 2 of Directive 2014/34/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council (
