3. Member States shall ensure that competent authorities receiving confidential information in the exercise of their functions and duties under this Directive use that information only in the course of their functions and duties under the national provisions transposing this Directive. The exchange of information between competent authorities shall be subject to the obligation of professional secrecy referred to in Article 76 of Directive 2014/65/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council (24).
